Holiday Financial Assistance

The Canadian Red Cross is also offering $1,250 in one-time holiday financial assistance to eligible households that previously registered with the Red Cross due to the 2021 British Columbia Floods and Extreme Weather Event and were authenticated and living in a community impacted as a result of this event. 

This financial assistance is being offered to eligible households impacted by the 2021 floods to help with recovery-related costs and the added expenses that may come with the holidays and winter season, as well as to support the mental health and well-being of impacted communities. This support is being provided in addition to the one-time financial assistance offered earlier in 2025.

Starting December 16, 2025, the Canadian Red Cross is contacting eligible households with more information regarding one-time holiday financial assistance. This financial assistance will be available until January 16, 2026.
